Request Public Records

Requests for public inspection of San Diego State University (SDSU) records under the California Public Records Act (Gov Code section 6250 et seq) may be submitted in writing via mail, E-mail or facsimile. Certain records are exempt from public disclosure, and purely personal and private information may be redacted. The Public Records Act does not require the campus to create documents that do not already exist.

Upon receipt of a Public Records Act request, SDSU will conduct a reasonable search for the requested records and respond to your request within ten calendar days. The records will be made available for inspection during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Records may not be destroyed, altered, or removed. Upon request, copies of the records may be made available in hard or electronic copy following payment of 20 cents per page.
