Employee Fee Waiver

Eligible employees may participate in the Fee Waiver Program in one of two ways, 1) Work Related or, 2) Career Development. Both Work Related and Career Development courses must be taken for credit and auditing of classes is not permitted.

Work Related

Work Related courses are taken for the purpose of:

Enrollment Services classifies all Work Related students as academic visitors and participants are:

To Submit a Work Related Fee Waiver Form:

  1. Complete the Employee Fee Waiver Link to download the latest version of Adobe Reader. form (be sure to obtain the MPP Administrator’s signature and sign the form)
  2. Complete the CSU Application for Admission. To print a paper copy, go to CSU Application for Admission‚ click on “Undergraduate Admission Application” or “Graduate Admission Application” and scroll to the bottom of the page. Electronic submissions are not possible since a major cannot be entered for work related employees
  3. Send the following to the Benefits Office at MC 1625 or Fax to 619-594-4013:
    • Fee Waiver form
    • CSU Application for Admission
    • A copy of the your job announcement or job description

The Benefit’s Office will Fax the approved forms to the employee‚ Enrollment Services Office (Admissions) and the Cashier’s Office for account adjustment or reimbursement. Please note: Employees do not need to submit a separate CSU $55 Application Fee Waiver Form for Work Related courses.

Career Development

Career Development courses are taken for the purpose of:

Employees who are using the fee waiver for Career Development:

To Submit a Career Development Fee Waiver Form:

  1. Complete the Employee Fee Waiver Link to download the latest version of Adobe Reader. form (be sure to obtain the MPP Administrator’s signature if release time is required during work hours and sign the form)
  2. Complete a Career Development Plan Link to download viewer to open, view, and print MS Word documents. (once the Career Development Plan is on file, it does not need to be resubmitted unless there is a change in job or degree program)
  3. Send to the Benefits Office at MC 1625 or Fax to 619-594-4013:
    • Fee Waiver form
    • Career Development Plan
