RE: Nondiscrimination Requirements

California State University — Executive Order No. 883 of 2003 reaffirms CSU’s commitment to consistent and equitable employment practices and procedures prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy, age, disability, medical condition, and covered veteran’s status. It also mandates creation of affirmative action plan and program that is in accordance with federal and state laws.

California State University — Executive Order No. 928 of 2005 establishes grievance procedures for discrimination complaints by employees not eligible to file a discrimination complaint under a collective bargaining agreement nondiscrimination.

California State University — Executive Order No. 927 of 2005 prohibits unlawful harassment based on any statutory category protected by the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA). Consistent with the FEHA, Executive Order 927 protects employees, applicants, and independent contractors from unlawful harassment. The prohibition against harassment of students is established by each campus and is not covered by this system wide policy.
