Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: How to clean up encumbrances?
A: You must submit all transactions, both invoices and receipts, and close out all open purchase orders for Oracle Funds 1006, 1405, and 1605, by November 18, 2007. The Budget Office will review balances as of June 30, 2008 and compare those balances to the November 18 balances, to assure the divisions receive the benefit of cleaning up these transactions via the university carry-forward process. Instructions from the University Controller will be made available after October 2007.

Q7: How to run a request set to obtain all account transactions?
A: A request set allows you to run six SDSU custom reports at one time, without changing responsibilities. Parameters must be specified for each report. However, if the same parameters are called for in more than one report (such as the Accounting Flexfield or date ranges) you only need to enter them once. Some fields have default values in them. You can override any default value by replacing it with your preferred value for the field.
