HCM 8.9 Implementation Project
HCM stands for Oracle’s (PeopleSoft) Human Capital Management suite of software applications. San Diego State University is undertaking this software implementation in order to replace its existing processes for recruitment, employee and faculty management (the entire life cycle of an employee’s career at San Diego State University), position management, labor cost distribution, time keeping, and benefits using state of the art enterprise-level software developed by PeopleSoft (now Oracle), and further modified by the CSU Common Management Systems (CMS) team; the CSU modified version of the software is commonly known as “CMS Baseline.”
San Diego State University has engaged the support of Oracle Corporation as our implementation partner in a major effort to implement and streamline our existing critical administrative processes through the integration of these new PeopleSoft applications in Recruitment, Benefits, Position Management, Workforce Development & Administration, Time & Labor, Absence Management, Labor Cost Distribution, and Employee Self Service modules.
HCM is a service provided to the campus community by Financial Operations, in the Division of Business and Financial Affairs. We’re very excited about this project and the benefits it will bring to SDSU. Feel free to contact any of our team leads for further information, or E-mail us. Your message will be directed to the most appropriate team member to answer your questions.
