Q1: How do I get access to the Oracle/PeopleSoft applications?

A: You’ll need to contact the BIS Help Desk at 619-594-0889 and request an account be set up for you. Upon approval, they’ll assign a temporary password and provide instructions for signing onto the database. For more information, review the Oracle/PeopleSoft Account Access web page.

Q2: What’s the current status of my project?

A: Links to the Project Teams and Steering Committee web pages are located on the navigation bar on the left. These pages provide information and staff contacts assigned to support the various functional areas of the overall project. If you don't know which functional area to refer to, contact the HCM Project Coordinator at 619-594-4586 and they will redirect your call. Questions of a technical nature should be directed to the BIS Help Desk at 619-594-0899.

Q3: Why can’t I sign on to the database?

A: There may be a problem with your account or your password; or your account may not have the security permissions needed for you to do your work. Call the BIS Help Desk at 619-594-0899. Consultants are available, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to answer your questions.

Q4: Where can I get information about the Oracle Financial Accounting system at SDSU?

A: The current accounting system at SDSU is Oracle LEAP. Visit their web site for more information.

A: Yes, the California State University hosts the CSU's Common Management System web site. Start your search here to determine the specific functional-area contact to address your particular need or interest.

Q6: What are the optimal browser settings for Oracle/PeopleSoft applications?

A: Microsoft Internet Explorer browser settings are important for optimal navigation and use of the new HR system. To ensure that your desktop is ready, please review the HCM Training Materials document, “Optimal Browser Settings for Oracle/MarkView/PeopleSoft Applications” [PDF]  [Word].

Additionally, please verify that your desktop hardware meets the recommended minimum hardware requirements, specified in the web page, Minimum Workstation Standards at SDSU.
