Account Access

Accounts, Passwords, and Browser Settings

Requesting Accounts

Need an Oracle / PeopleSoft HR account? Distribution of accounts will be handled by in-person, self-service training sessions, and at the Human Resources front counter, located in ESC 406, ext. 4-0469. Office hours are Mon-Fri 8 a.m. — 4:30 p.m.

Note: Account names are created from your Red ID number, appearing on the SDSUcard. For more information, see How to Get an SDSUcard. In addition,  before releasing your account information, we must have the following documentation on file:

  • Oracle Applications/MarkView Imaging Account Access Request [PDF]
  • PeopleSoft Human Resources Account Access Request [PDF]

 

Creating Passwords

The first time you log into the new system, you will be prompted to change your password. When creating passwords, keep in mind that it must meet certain complexity-criteria, as outlined below:

  1. Minimum length of eight characters
  2. Case-sensitive
  3. Have at least one numeric value
  4. Have at least one special character (non-numeric and non-alphabetic)
  5. Expires in 60 days (You’ll be prompted to enter a new password at that time.)
  6. Cannot be re-used, or re-cycled
  7. Accounts are locked-out after five invalid logon attempts

Optimal Browser Settings

       for Oracle / MarkView / PeopleSoft Apps

Those users with Windows 2000 and XP platforms will need to configure Internet Explorer’s browser settings, in order to run Oracle / MarkView / PeopleSoft applications. Please download and print the following step-by-step procedure-guide to optimize your browser.
