Control of Hazardous Energy Sources (Lockout/Tagout Program)

IV. PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all individuals on the San Diego State University campus are protected from activation of equipment during maintenance, repairing, cleaning, servicing, or adjusting of equipment by establishing the minimum requirements for lockout of energy sources that could cause injury to personnel.
