The October 2004 Standard Desktop Software suite requires a genuine Intel processor, running Win 2000 Professional installed on an NTFS-formatted hard drive. - Mouse — Microsoft Intelimouse PS-2 Wheel or USB Optical
- Keyboard — Microsoft PS-2, Fujitsu 4725, or any PS-2 compatible
- USB Ports — two front panel ports and up to four rear ports
- System Form Factor — either desktop or tower system meeting the ATX or mATX specification system board, tower case, and power supply standards
- Monitor — NEC, Samsung, Sony, or Viewsonic 17-in. or greater LCD display
- Surge Protector — EMI/RFI filtering capability with 6 outlets, or UPS-type device for high-end workstations
