The purpose of the Classification and Compensation program is to determine the appropriate classification and minimum qualifications required for staff and management positions and to assign the position to the appropriate pay range.  The Employment and Classification unit is responsible for analyzing the current duties and responsibilities as described in each position and determining the most appropriate classification and compensation.
