Parking Services
Parking OfficersParking Officers with the SDSU Police Department work varied shifts and patrol the campus on foot, by bike, or by vehicle. They issue parking citations for vehicles in violation of university parking rules and regulations and the California Vehicle Code. Parking officers also provide pedestrian and vehicle traffic control, serve as extra eyes and ears for the police department, provide general information to the public, provide VIP signage, and maintain permit machines. One of the other main jobs of our parking officers is to plan and implement traffic control plans for all major special events on campus. These events can occur during and after normal work hours and include events such as large concerts, sporting events, and graduation. Parking officers are an integral part of the police department. The parking department staffs six full-time parking officers. They are supervised by the Director of Auxiliary Services.
