Maintenance/Repair
Physical Plant is responsible for maintaining all heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems. All ventilation adjustments of grills/registers must be performed by Physical Plant personnel. Special needs and/or problems related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems should be reported to the Work Control Center (ext. 44754) or e-mail.
State Energy Policies
In compliance with State energy conservation policies, in conjunction with the Campus Energy Policy, air conditioning is set at 78 degrees F during the summer, and heating is set at 68 degrees F for the remaining months. Ventilation systems are scheduled according to building use. For energy conservation, when feasible, some ventilation systems are shut off when classes are not in session (evenings, weekends, holidays). Suggestions regarding energy conservation are always appreciated and may be directed to the Work Control Center (ext. 44754) or e-mail.
Specialized Environments
Special facility environments (such as those housing computer or science labs, sensitive electronic equipment, experiments/research projects, etc.) which require highly controlled temperatures are exempt from standard campus energy policies and are serviced according to specific need.
