Inquiries
SDSU maintains an ongoing campus-wide recycling program. For complete information, visit the SDSU Recycles! Web site. Some materials are recycled through Environmental Health and Safety; others (see below) are recycled by Physical Plant. For questions or problems related to materials recycled by Physical Plant, contact Steve Lincoln (ext. 47017) or e-mail.
Recycled Materials
Materials recycled by Physical Plant include the following:
-
Desk-side recycling containers are located in all faculty/staff and department offices for the collection of mixed paper (white paper/colored paper, envelopes, fax paper, news print, magazines). Custodial staff are responsible for emptying these containers.
-
Beverage container receptacles are placed in and around all eating areas and in a number of locations throughout the residence halls. All recyclable beverage containers (aluminum, glass, plastic) may be deposited in the same receptacle.
-
Cardboard is collected by the Urban Corps of San Diego via a grant from the Department of Conservation.
