Primary Role
The primary role of Programs and Engineering is to design and oversee minor construction and special repair projects.
Programs and Engineering manages the Special Repair program, the five-year/deferred maintenance plan, the carpet replacement program, as well as Architectural Barrier Removal, Minor Capital Outlay, asbestos abatement and other specially funded programs.
These multimillion dollar programs provide for maintenance, repair, capital renewal, new construction and alteration work in support of academic and administrative programs. Programs and Engineering also provides a Physical Plant project liaison for Major Capital Outlay projects managed by Facilities Planning and Management.
