Administration and Financial ManagementAdministration and Financial Management are responsible for providing administrative assistance, clerical support and budgetary management for the department of Physical Plant. Administrative staff provide guidance in accordance with Departmental and university policies and procedures to staff, visitors and the campus community and serve as an interface with the Office of the Chancellor and Business & Financial Affairs in matters pertaining to departmental budget, campus utilities and payroll/personnel. Management Information SystemsResponsible for the system administration of Physical Plant’s computer system platforms, including but not limited to database administration, security management, storage management, backup management and network interfacing. A primary responsibility is ongoing support for Plant’s Maintenance Management System (currently Facility Focus, a product of Maximus Corporation). Develops and maintains a quality information system to support Physical Plant's mission as outlined in Executive Order 343 with the objective of raising the department to a level of data processing compatible with campus systems and industry standards. Material ServicesMaterial Services is responsible for Physical Plant’s supply inventory and warehouse. Average inventory consists of over 2,700 stock items and is valued at over $300,000. Work Control CenterProvides a courteous and knowledgeable point of contact between Physical Plant and the campus community by providing customer service information to the campus for all maintenance and construction projects under the coordination of Physical Plant. Work requirements are processed immediately and assigned to the appropriate Physical Plant unit(s) for prompt response and resolution. The work order system maintained by the Work Control Center provides documentation for all Physical Plant projects on campus. The Work Control Center is the principal source of information and guidance regarding all services provided by Physical Plant. We welcome your inquiries, requests and reports of facility problems.
