Most employees are eligible for leave accruals‚ which are accrued benefits that provide paid time off with management approval.

In order to earn leave accruals‚ an employee should complete a qualifying month of service. This consists of at least 11 days of pay during a given pay period for full-time and part-time employees. For intermittent employees (hourly staff)‚ a qualifying month of service consists of 160 hours.
The amount of leave accruals earned depends on an employee’s appointment type (full-time‚ part-time‚ and intermittent).
All employees (except for those noted above) receive one Personal Holiday each calendar year‚ which expires if not used by December 31st.
