	Project Summary Cost: $506,000,000 Square Feet: 1,230,000 GSF Status: Complete Funding: Federal Government Transportation Appropriations Bill, in addition to state and local funds Completion Date: July 2005 Project Contacts Executive Architect: San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) Design-Build Contractor: Jim Linthicum, Division Director, Engineering and Construction Project Manager: Tony Fulton Project Description The SDSU Transit Center has been renovated with new lights mounted across the top of the station. Brickwork and paver installation inside the station has been completed. Contractors have completed stone installation on the north wall of the station’s exterior. Inside the station crews installed glass and handrails. Metal panels for the escalator have also been installed. Upon completion of fire alarm and firefighter phone testing, and landscaping the tunnel was opened to the public in 2005.
