Project Description

Rodney Auditorium is one of the original structures on the Imperial Valley Campus, predating any seismic design criteria. This project achieved current seismic and fire code compliance and abated and replaced the deteriorated roof. It provided interior architectural enhancements including new seating with ADA-compliant positions and enhanced lighting and sound while retaining the unique roof structure and original mission style features and appearance. A concurrent $250,000 Minor Capital Outlay project accomplished the remodeling of adjoining classrooms. This included total replacement of interior wall surfaces and floors and repair of suspended ceilings.
