Project Description

The Aztec Athletics Center is the showcase for SDSU Athletics programs and administration. It is located fronting 55th Street on the previous site of Terry Pool. The 184,000 sq. ft. site also encompasses and replaces the previous locker room space in Peterson Gym. The main entrance and focal point of the center is the SDSU Athletics Hall of Fame, designed to house exhibits honoring the accomplishments of SDSU athletes and celebrating the success of the Athletics programs. The rest of the facility includes administrative and coaches’ offices, team rooms, training rooms and lockers for all sports. An 184-seat assembly hall and state-of-the-art integrated multimedia system provide impressive presentational capabilities.

Aztec Athletics Center is collocated with other athletics facilities and fields at the end of Aztec Walk. It is the west anchor of the master-planned, east-west concourse and a key part of south campus redevelopment.
