Interim Director—Facilities Planning Design & Construction

As Interim Director for the San Diego State University Office of Facilities Planning, Design and Construction, Lauren assumes the duties of retired Director, Tony Fulton. This includes overall responsibility for campus planning, design and construction, and oversight of Facilities Planning, Design & Construction staff and functions. It includes CSU delegation of authority to plan and manage Capital Outlay projects.

Her ongoing duties include responsibility for campus architecture and planning functions including policy development and implementation for campus physical development. This encompasses Campus Strategic Master Planning and development of the Campus Master Plan and EIR, preparation of the annual 5-year Capital Outlay, Capital Improvement and Minor Capital Outlay and Capital Renewal Programs. It includes the coordination of State and Non-State Capital projects and Project Administrator/Architect responsibility for all aspects of Major Capital Outlay project design and construction.

The scope of these responsibilities includes the main campus of SDSU and the two Imperial Valley Campus locations at Calexico and Brawley.
