Campus Development

Department Responsibilities

The Office of Facilities Planning, Design and Construction is responsible for campus physical development for the SDSU main campus and the Imperial Valley Campus (IVC) in Calexico, California.

Department responsibilities encompass long-range planning, master planning, new construction and renovation programs, space utilization and transportation planning and management. In fulfillment of these responsibilities, FPDC develops the campus Master Plans and Capital Outlay Programs, secures all required environmental and agency reviews, pursues budget acquisition, hires architectural, engineering and consulting services and manages all new construction and major renovation projects.

Campus Auxiliaries

To meet the needs of the entire SDSU community, we interact with SDSU Foundation, Campanile Foundation, Aztec Shops and Associated Students. We also manage planning and development and interface with government agencies on behalf of these auxiliaries.
