Project Status

The BioScience Center, a 37,000 square feet facility, houses four floors of research laboratories and a 100-seat auditorium. Adjoining the existing North Life Science building, the center is the home of the SDSU Heart Institute, the Center for Microbial Sciences and other core programs. Research facilities include:

  • Basement level to house animal lab facilities
  • First floor office space and a 100-seat, seminar room
  • Open architecture, wet lab space

Pass-through hallways will connect it to the existing structure at the basement and 4th-floor levels. The initial project scope will complete the basement, first and fourth floors, leaving the second and third floors for subsequent development. See the SDSU BioScience web site for details.
