Registration Fees Increases
On July 21, 2009, the California State University Trustees voted to implement an increase in the State University Fee and Out of State Tuition effective for the Fall 2009 semester.
For students enrolled in 6.1 or more units, the per semester State University Fee increase will be $336 for Undergraduate Students (for total registration fees of $2,451); $390 for Students in the Teacher Credential Program (for total registration fees of $2,775); and $414 for Graduate Students (for total registration fees of $2,919).
For students enrolled in 6.0 units or less, per semester State University Fee increase will be $195 for Undergraduate Students (for total registration fees of $1,605); $228 for Students in the Teacher Credential Program (for total registration fees of $1,794); and $240 for Graduate Students (for total registration fees of $1,878).
The Out of State Tuition fee has been increased to $372.00 per unit up to a maximum of 30 units per academic year (excluding summer). A link to more information about the fee increase is located on the California State University Web Site:

Many of you have already paid your registration fees. If you have already paid your fees, you will receive instructions within the next few weeks about how much you will need to pay and how to pay.
Those students with financial aid will see the new fee amount deducted from your financial aid funds.
Students who have signed up for the Registration Fee Installment Plan will be billed at the new fee rate on the regular installment billing dates.
Students who pay their registration fees by their payment due date will pay the Registration Fees that were charged prior to this fee increase and will receive a billing notice by email for the fee increase. Any students who pay after August 4, 2009 will be charged the new Registration Fee rate which will include the fee increase.
If you would like to pay your fee increase now, you can log in to your student account at www.sdsu.edu/sas and pay. You will select Make Payment at the top of the screen and then select the menu item that says Fall 2009 State University Fee Increase.
