San Diego State University is committed to protecting students faculty, and staff in the event of an influenza pandemic. The university is also committed to continuing normal operations as long as it is safe to do so. The information provided here is intended to raise case awareness of a potential health emergency; provide information that will assist individuals to protect themselves and their families; and to inform the campus community about university planning efforts. Pandemic Planning Committee ConvenedIn 2006, a committee was formed with broad representation across the campus to form a plan for the university’s response to a potential health crisis. The plan is designed to be a sub-set of the university’s business continuity planning. Planning and monitoring activities in conjunction with county public health officials related to pandemic preparedness and response are ongoing.
