HEAD HAZARDS
Hazard Category-Task/Action Hazard Source PPE Required
HEAD INJURY
  • Working below others using tools or materials that could fall.

  • Working under machinery where materials could fall.
  • Hard hat — check to make sure hard hat is appropriate class for work.
ELECTRICAL
  • Working on energized electrical equipment.
  • Class A helmets — for protection from low voltage conductors (less than 2,2000 volts).

  • Class B helmets — for protection from high voltage conductors (less than 20,000 volts).

  • Class C helmets — should not be used around electrical hazards.
