New USPS Prices Coming May 11, 2009

On May 11, 2009 the price for a First-Class Mail stamp will increase from $0.42 cents to $0.44 cents. Prices for other mailing services - Standard Mail, Periodicals, Package Services, and Special Services (including parcel post), and extra services will also change.

Consistent with the Post Act of 2006, prices for mailing services will be adjusted annually each May. The Postal Service plans to provide 90 days' notice prior to each adjustment.

Customers can continue to use the Forever Stamps they purchased for $0.41 cents, even after the price change. Business Services currently has a large supply of Forever Stamps available for purchase at $0.41 cents until all supplies have been exhausted.

See http://www.usps.com/prices/ for all mailing services prices and links to download pricing files, and additional information.
