Enterprise Rent-a-Car
The Contract
San Diego State University entered into a contract with Enterprise Rent-a-Car through June 30, 2013. SDSU faculty and staff may now, at excellent rates, rent vehicles for university-related business or personal use.
The contract includes pick-up and delivery to and from SDSU, loss/damage waiver, and $1,000,000.00 combined single limit. Vehicles available for rental include both cars and trucks.
To take advantage of the Enterprise contract, just go online to the SDSU Enterprise Web site link listed below.
If the rental car is used for personal use, the employee must pay by using a personal credit card. Employees may also access special rates via 800-Rent-a-car or contact the local branch at 619-229-2300. The branch is located at 4930 El Cajon Blvd., San Diego, CA 92115.
You will need to furnish the following items when picking up your rental vehicle:
- University ID
- Driver’s License
- A copy of the SDSU Form T2 — Request for Absence from Campus [XLS] (if renting vehicle for university business)
Note: for state business travel, additional insurance charges (CDW, PAI, SLP) accepted by an employee are not reimbursable by using state funds.
Van Pool Vehicles
The Enterprise contract also allows the university to lease van pool vehicles at low rates including a $400/month/vehicle SANDAG subsidy. The agreement will include an option for eight- and nine-passenger vans. For van pool participation details, contact Debbie Richeson, SDSU Public Safety, at 619-594-6671.
