AZTEC CENTER SCHEDULING ASSISTANT

 

Under the supervision of the Aztec Center Events Planner, the Aztec Center Scheduling Assistant oversees the overall administrative office functions for Aztec Center Meeting Services and related duties as assigned.  Organizes and coordinates all Meeting Services’ office operations and procedures. Receives visitors and phone calls to the Meeting Services office and provides information when needed or refers callers to the appropriate staff member.  Provides administrative and clerical support for the Aztec Center Events Planner and Meeting Services professional staff as assigned.  Responsibilities include high-volume customer service, problem solving, record keeping and filing support.  Assists with scheduling meetings and events in Aztec Center student union facilities.  Prepares all reservation billing functions including payables and receivables.

The successful candidate must possess excellent front office and first line customer service skills. Experience working directly with students is preferred. Familiarity with scheduling software, accounting and billing practices is preferred. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and be well organized and able to manage a multitude of tasks simultaneously with accuracy.  The qualified candidate will be a self starter, and have proven ability to work with minimal supervision. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and one-two years work related experience in a college union field and/or university environment.

 

SALARY & BENEFITS:  Hiring Range: $12.29- 14.75/hr.  Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. This is a temporary appointment anticipated to end December 2009 with a possibility for reappointment.
