Recommended Laptop Configuration

Minimum Configuration

When ordering a laptop, please use the configuration below as a minimum hardware standard.

  • Processor — Intel 1.7 GHz or greater Pentium M processor
  • Memory — two main slots for expandable memory, with a minimum 1 GB RAM, DDR2 533 MHz SDRAM
  • Wireless — Intel PRO Wireless 802.11 b/g
  • Hard Drives — two drives, each a minimum 60 GB, 5400 rpm
  • CD-RW/DVD-ROM or DVD-RW
  • USB Storage — minimum 128 MB flash drive
  • Display — minimum 14" up to 17"
  • Video Display Adapter — minimum 64 MB up to 128MB graphics-RAM
  • Ports — minimum two 2.0 USB, one RJ-45 LAN, and one RJ-11 modem
  • Parallel port and pin-docking connector

Accessories

  • Extra battery
  • Compatible replicator (docking station)
  • USB optical mouse
  • External keyboard
  • External VGA monitor (VGA or PS/2 cable) or LCD Display (DVI or USB cable)
  • AC adapter & surge protector
  • Extended warranty covering three years parts and labor
